The Artist

I'm Ọláyinká, a self-taught Nigerian artist based in Canada.

 

My work moves between two places — precise, hand-drawn mandalas built on structure, and looser mixed media paintings where I let go of it completely. Both come from the same instinct: start with control, then break it open into something freer.

The more you look, the more you'll feel. People often tell me my work gives them a sense of calm or introspection — and that's exactly what I hope you find here too.
